If you're searching for a private boat rental on Candlewood Lake, here's the straight answer: there isn't a captained charter operation on Candlewood itself. The good news is we're right up the road. Connecticut Water Sports runs captained watersports and pontoon charters on Lake Lillinonah in New Milford — about a 10-minute drive north of Candlewood Lake.
For guests in New Fairfield, Brookfield, Sherman, Danbury, and the surrounding Candlewood area, we're the closest professional private boat charter you'll find — a short drive north for a relaxed lakeside watersports day or a pontoon cruise on Lake Lillinonah. Show up, step on the boat, and let the captain handle the rest.

Go with the watersports boat ($340/hr) if your group wants to ski, wakeboard, wakesurf, or tube — it's a dedicated watersports boat with a clean wake, a pro driver, and all the gear. Up to 10 guests.
Go with the pontoon ($275/hr) if your group just wants to cruise — lake tours, sunset cruises, and swim stops. Bigger capacity (up to 12), more seating, no watersports. Bring your own tubes if you want to tow the kids.
